NYC: The Jargon Society, 1969
25.2 x 19.2cm, unpaginated (c. 96pp). Pictorial covers and orange transparent mylar dust jacket as issued. First edition of this whimsical collection of fables with ten original b/w full page illustrations by Edson's friend Johnson. The dj has a short appreciation of both author and illustrator by Jonathan Williams. Back cover has a Johnson collage made up of passport style portraits of the two artists with an overprint of red spectacles. The mylar jacket has shrunk (a phenomenon of the material over decades) but is intact and without tears and the book is fine. Scarce. Also noted as Jargon nr 37.
