The very important documentation of Beuys' musical action which took place in the cellar of the Dusseldorf Art Academy on 24.11.1970. This was the first time Beuys performed in a felt suit (here working with Art & Language's Terry Fox to create the sound action). Firenze: Zona Archives, 1986 10.5 x 15cm, 2pp. Artist postcard released on the occasion of the series of "Secret Events" created by James Lee Byars, Daniel Buren, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Terry Fox, General Idea, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Sol Lewitt, Maurizio Nannucci and Lawence Weiner for Nannucci's Zona Archives. Here on the front of the card is a photograph of Lewitt's event - a white cube which was left in the post office box of Zona Archives. This is documentation in postcard form after the vent rather than an announcement card. Fine. Scarce.

Exhibition catalogue which reproduces many b/w photographs of performances and installations as well as a biography, bibliography, chronology of exhibitions and texts by Brenda Richardson and the artist and excerpts from Willoughby Sharp's interview with Fox. Former library rubber stamp impression on first page and a circular mark where a former price sticker has been on the front cover otherwise very good+. Scarce.

All the photographs are reproduced b/w and small over 4pp in this attractive small conceptual catalogue. Formerly a library copy with bindstamp (which has been cancelled) otherwise very good.
