Aside from the regular edition of 75 examples. Phillips received the Frances Williams Memorial Prize in 1983 for this artwork. Some light handling creases but overall VG.

London, Thames and Hudson by arrengement with Edition Hansjörg Mayer (Stuttgart), 1980 18 x 13cm, 368pp plus boards and printed dust jacket. First edition in book form, first impression, of this celebrated altered book, where Phillips overpainted every page of a Victorian Novel by William Hurrell Mallock to create a huge visual poem. This now scarce item is further enhanced by a very neatly drawn signed dedication by Phillips. In VG+ condition.

Laid in as issued : the scarce 4pp price list for Dieter Roth's verlag for the same year. Edition of 1,500. Fine condition.

23 x 17cm, unpaginated (c.32pp) plus card covers. The annual catalogue issued by the press which lists and illustrates all the major works by Roth, Hamilton, Iononne, Phillips, Williams and others released as artist's books, graphics or multiples during the year. There are 15 full page reproductions of books etc in b/w. The cover is an original text drawing by Dieter Roth and internally the catalogue was designed by Roth. Very good.

New York: Outerbridge & Dienstfrey 1970 25 x 20cm, 100pp. Boards and dustjacket, First edition of this survey of visual poetry which is illustrated throughout. The introduction is by Kostelanetz and included are works by Raymond Federman, Liam O'Gallagher, Herb Lubalin, the editor, Gay Beste, Robert P. Brown, Ferdinand Kriwet, Robert Lax, Ruth Jacoby, Robert Indiana, John Hinde, Allan Kaprow, Michael Joseph Phillips, Emmet Williams, Patrick Bridgewater, Michael Heller, Tom Phillips, Edwin Morgan, Chryea, John Furnival and many others with biographical notes. This copy is from Dick Higgin's own library and has a signed dedication to Higgins from the poet and artist: "For Dick, With thanks first, for letting us reprint the Cunningham-Glass + much admiration for your work. In friendship Richard Kostelanetz." Slight wear to dj but otherwise a very good and desirable association copy noting the mention of the reprint of work by Philip Glass and Merce Cunningham. A scarce book even without the dedication.
