Along the left side the leaflet lists the contents of the issue and the artists taking part or who contributed to the journal . This leaflet promoting nr 1 of the journal has a bookshop promotion rubber stamping in green at bottom right and is folded for mailing, otherwise fine.<br ><br>

15 x 10cm, 2pp printed black on tan card. The announcement card for the very first gallery exhibition of the newly collectivised German Zero Group where Mach, Piene and Uecker exhibited under that collaborative title for the first time - although all three artists had been working individually and together prior to that date. For example, Gunter Uecker had shown as a solo artist at the Galleria Azimuth in 1960 thanks to the personal intervention of Manzoni just prior to another solo exhibition in Schmela in 1960 also) but by 1961 Uecker was prepared to work under an agreed joint manifesto.

On this invited occasion (5 July 1961) Uecker elected to perform a street action where he painted the pavement of the Hunsreuckestrasse, outside the gallery, white in front of a small invited crowd of art lovers.

After this event Uecker became more committed to the group and introduced aspects of light and movement into his hitherto somewhat static nail works. Recto to this card is a rough typographic design and verso: gallery details overprinted in purple. The Schmela Gallery had simply over printed commercially purchased blank postcards with the exhibition design. A rare document in fine, never mailed state and an essential addition to any Zero collection.

21 x 15cm, 1pp printed offset black on tan. The original 1969 broadsheet which was distributed on every seat by Uecker during the 1969 Intermedia exhibition at the University of Heidelberg.

An historic document with an important short manifesto text by Uecker written at a time when the Group Zero was splintering (amicably) into the careers of three separate artists: Mack, Piene and Uecker. Fine condition. Ref: reproduced on page 109 of Honisch's Uecker catalogue raisonne.

Vintage manifesto if slightly later document issued by Uecker at the time of his creation of large "manual structure" works which were large assemblages of canvas and plaster with nails driven into them at angles in repetitive patters. 7 x 9.5cm red and black on white card (along with hand addressed, mailed and franked envelope bearing Aubertin's printed address). The card is an unique small drawing by Aubertin - sent to monsieur and madame Petithory and is a drawing of the fire created by Aubertin and Chopin's Fire Disk tabletop multiple. The drawing has the words "Joyeuse annee 1969!/Aubertin" written across it. Fine.

7 x 9.5cm red and black on white address card (along with hand addressed, mailed and franked envelope bearing Aubertin's printed address). The card has been burnt with around 11 holes using a match and then the card stapled to the same long match creating at work that is approx. 28 x 9cm. The card has the words “Bonne annee 1968" written across it. All in original mailed envelope addressed to Madame Petithory. Fine in torn, mailed envelope.
