30 x 21cm, 2pp mimeographed leaflet announcing the intent to celebrate the Queen’s birthday with a collective Orange happening The Provo Orange Committee The Pearl of the Jordaan* was founded January 10, 1966 by Hans Tuynman, Rob Stolk, Peter Bronkhorst, Auke Boersma and Lou van Nimwegen amongst others (The Jordaan is an old Amsterdam neighbourhood) The lower illustration is an image of Julie London in Bikkelacht, which was reproduced in various Provo publications as well as here (the same collage re-appeared in the punk and squatting movement at the end of the Seventies and early Eighties of the 20th century). The reverse of the leaflet contains the programme for the event and a participation form Text was written by Auke Pieter Boersma. Very good +.
