One of the Sonnabend small format catalogues – here displaying nine works in b/w by Arman on the subject of painting – various tools of the painter’s trade are glued to the canvasses – namely, palettes, paint tubes, brushes etc – reflecting the artist’s more obviously three-dimensional works and poubelles – it is not clear if these are best considered as paintings or sculptural works. Fine. Scarce.
