BRUTUS KILLED CAESAR. 1976.

£600.00

Akron: The Emily H. Davis Art Gallery of The University of Akron, N.P. (1976)

10 x 27.5cm, 35pp (recto only). Horizontally bound with metal spiral with brown card wrappers. First edition of this artist’s book where the imagery is of two men (one slightly older on the right – Caesar – and the younger pretender on the left – Brutus – and between an object (which one may presume is a murder weapon despite its eccentricity). A greatly sought after conceptual book. This example has some damage to the very front card – top left and right the holes for the spiral show damage and there are two diagonal crease bottom right – as a result we have reduced the price of this to half of what it is more normally found at. Internally and on the back it is VG.
