Edinburgh: Edinburgh Festival, 2012
32 x 32cm, full colour giclee print (conservation materials) displaying an image of the installation from Schneemann’s first British show for over 20 years at the Edinburgh Festival (curated by Paul Robertson). The work was two overlapping films where the images moved back and forth (due to a mirror mechanism). This is one of ONLY 3 such prints produced and signed in ink by Schneemann (in truth she was a little reluctant to sign the prints as she had not seen the images in advance but the Summerhall owner persuaded her to do so – she kept one and later gave it to Paul Robertson the curator of the show). Fine although the image chosen was deliberately a little bit-mapped. Very scarce item by one of art’s foremost feminist artists.
