Exhibition catalogue and artist’s book with 1 tipped-in b/w photo portrait of Kippenberger and 14 b/w reproductions of works, two foldouts displaying 29 color reproductions of the paintings in the exhibition. Text by Dickhoff and aphorisms by Kippenberger. A parody of the original catalog of Walter Dahn and Dokoupil, which was entitled “Die Afrika Bilder” (Groninger Museum, 1984). I.N.P. stands for ” Ist Nicht Peinlich / It’s Not Embarrassing ” One of around 500 copies. Scarce.
This copy has a hand drawing by Kippenberger of a trophy added to extend the printed drawing on the front of the book. It is signed and dated in pan by Kippenberger – “M.K. ’93”. Thus unique but reference: Kippenberger Books (Koch) Nr 23.
