First issue of this seminal experimental minimalist opera, performed by the Philip Glass Ensemble including Glass on organ, Paul Zukofsky on violin, Jon Gibson and Richard Landry on saxes and flutes, Michael Riesman conducting and playing keyboards, etc. This issue is also notable for the cover by designer Milton Glaser, for which this album is listed in the Broken Music catalog of artist records.
