EX LIBRIS FOR GERARD DUROZOI’S “DICTIONARY OF NEW REALISM.” DESIGNED BY VILLEGRE & SIGNED BY THE ARTIST.

25 x 15cm, 1pp red on white offset ex libris designed by Villegre as an edition for a monograph on the French pop art movement – les nouveau realistes. Villegre has created a personal typpographic font and lists various names of his colleagues in the movement – Arman, Cesar, Deschamps, Christo, Raysse, Klein, SPoerri, Dufrene, Hains, Rotella, Niki de Saint Phalle, Tinguely and himself.

This exampkee has been dedicated by Villegre “pour Luisa” along with a few symbols and signed Jacques – both in pencil along with the word “souvenirs”. The writing utilises the same font as the printed elements.

It is believed few few of these ex libris sheets were printed and this is unusual in that it is handsigned. VG+.
