Found (12 x 12 x 4cm) Chinese carryout lunch box in moulded polystyrene content of numerous hand painted stones and dried red peppers and a pair of chopsticks. The work’s title is in hand applied letraset to the top of the box and internally each stone and spice has the name of a Fluxus colleague painstakenly painted on to each small item. The names include all the major Fluxus figures including Beuys, Ono, Maciunas, Lennon, Patterson, Christiansen, Shiomi, Freedman, Brecht and many many more. Most names are painted onto an appropriate object eg a hot pepper for some more volatile colleagues. A wonderful homage to her friends – this is a small but significant and rather glorious work.
