84 x 59.5cm, full colour offset exhibition poster with a reproduction of a war painting from the First World War, showing a marine, defiantly holding up the imperial war flag against an enemy warship, at the railing of his sinking ship, which has been sunk. An appropriation of a known image used by Staeck to promote socialism. The text reads: “FREIHEIT ODER SOZIALISMUS KAMERADEN! – DER LETZTE MANN” which translates to “FREEDOM OR SOCIALISM COMRADES! – THE LAST MAN. VG+.
