Paris: Galerie Carita, 1972.
Annotated by Arman, 1983 10 x 15cm, 2pp b/w invitation card. Recto a reproduced drawing by Arman. Verso gallery and exhibition details in facsimile of the artist’s hand. This card however contains Arman’s hand-written answer to a question posed by the critic Jean-Philippe Lemee namely “Que pensez-vous de la phrase de Duchamp : Il n’y a pas de solution parce qu’il n’y a pas de probleme ?”. Arman’s response is “Ã propos de Duchamp, je pense qu’il n’y a pas de probleme parce que la deuxeume loi de la thermodynamique reglera tout cela” (“Regarding Duchamp, I think that there is no problem since the second law of thermodynamics applies to (regulates) everything” (our trans.) Thus an important small insight into Arman’s thought and practice.) The card is signed below the artist’s statement. Fine.
