HORIZONTAL LINES NOT TOUCHING. 1971. ONE OF 10 APS, SIGNED BY LEWITT.

£1,450.00

Paris: Galerie Yvon Lambert, 1970

48.5 x 58.5cm, black on white cartridge paper – lithograph – displaying drawn short lines by Lewitt that are horizontal but do not touch each other but get very close).  One of 10 artist’s proofs signed and numbered (Lewitt in pencil bottom right) aside from the numbered edition of 70 examples. This is one of a number of such prints issued by Yvon Lambert with similar but different structures.

This print was previously framed and there is evidence of that framing at the edges of the print as well as over the signature but else this is a VG example of an early Lewitt edition. Yvon Lambert has one such print from the series available for sale for 5,000 euros – hence this is very well priced to account for the marks which if framed would be hardly seen.
