First edition of this monograph which details Jorn’s 14 metre tapestry which was created following a Scandinavian trip taken with Pierre Wemaere which awakened the painter’s interest in the ancient form. The foreword by Bernstein is typically dogmatic exhibiting her passion for the painter and his work. Other texts by Bachelard. The book is in VG condition but the glue keeping the text block in position is starting to decay after 50 years and needs some attention. However this copy is one of the scarce publications from Jorn’s press and has been signed by Bachelard over his preface.
