Paris: Jose Corti/Editions des Cahiers Libres, 1932.
A single issue. 29.7 x 17.5cm. 36 + 4pp of b/w plates. B/w reproductions after drawings and photo-pieces. Original wrappers with heraldic emblem and printed in phosphorescent ink. A single number of this second Surrealist revue, as directed by Breton, and which marked the group’s transition toward revolutionary activity. Text and pictorial contributions by Louis Aragon, Hans Arp, Louis Bunuel, Rene Char, Salvador Dali, Paul Eluard, Max Ernst, Yves Tanguy, Tristan Tzara, Pierre Unik, Rene Crevel and others. Very good estate with some minor spine damage and fading to wrappers. Internally mostly an uncut example although the cheap paper is now browning as would be expected. Scarce.
