First edition of these surrealist poems by Eluard which are illustrated throughout by Picasso with detailed drawings made especially for the edition (one incorporates Eluard’s text in full) including a frontispiece portrait of the author. This is one of only 50 numbered copies on Verge de Hollande (after a du tete of 10 on Japon imperial). Near fine condition.
