19 x 12.5cm, 20pp plus card covers. Artist’s book documenting an early Gette excursion to Mont Rigi and Baroque Michel and other places in Belgium to investigate the landscape. The internal pages have five original small b/w silver gelatine photographs of grasses and other vegetation tipped on with legends.
Additionally this is one of only 10 copies on Hollande Van Gelder which has an additional original b/w silver gelatine photograph as frontispiece (mounted on thicker card). The signatures are unbound in the wrappers.
The book is signed and numbered “5″ in pencil by Gette on the colophon page. There were 67 other copies of the book but unsigned and without the original unique photograph. Clearly rare. VG+.
