MEDIVAC (FOUR SMOKING BUNNIES – RED, GREEN, BLUE, ORANGE – ALL)

Four separate screenprints in four colour variants. Uniformly 60 x 52cm, each printed in black, grey and one additional colour (respectively either red, green, orange or blue).
A series of smoking bunny prints (Kozik’s signature image) where the bunny has expired (of lung cancer perhaps) and has keeled over still with a smoking tabby in its mouth and with an American Flag /Medevac background.
Kozik is probably best known nowadays for his work in the lucrative, commercial plastic toy market – where his smoking bunnies are one of the best known works – but prior to that he had a successful career as a concert poster and album cover designer for the US Punk / Grunge scene and his work is often shown in galleries alongside the more popular aspects of his practice.
Each print is signed and numbered from a limitation of only 50 copies. All near mint.
