METHODS & PROCESSES. 1961. THE VERY RARE FIRST EDITION.

27 x 19cm, b/w printed paper folder (with folding flap) content of 12pp fold out insert which is tipped onto the outer folder. The true first edition of Benjamin’s very first artist’s book which contained events and scores for events along with b/w photographs of females, the pope, a falling equestrian, a diving goalkeeper all with directional lines added by the artist. Apart from one very soft crease on the front of the folder and minor wear at the bottom of the spine of the folder this is a near fine example. Methods & Processes is an exceptionally rare Fluxus artist’s book which predated the 1962 Fluxus Festival in Wiesbaden. Very few examples have survived. Recently reprinted in facsimile in Japan in a much smaller size.
