19 x 14cm, 284pp. Cloth embossed boards with pictorial dustjacket. First edition of this novel which was signed by author on the title page at a later date (1950). The cover design is by Jindrich Styrsky and typography by A.B.Kohout. Sadly the dustjacket is torn for most of the front inside fold and requires repair and there are chips, tears and closed tears all around the cover. The binding is worn and marked and there is a stamp impression of the previous owner’s name on the fly-leaf. Internally very good although there are some unobtrusive pencil markings near the end of the book. Priced accordingly.
