25 x 25cm, 38pp plus printed corrugated wrappers, The tenth of the Kwadraat-Bladen books produced by Pieter Brattinga for Hilversum Jong & Co as a way to promote their high-end printing business. Here the book is “a protracted meditation on art in the form of an illustrated poem (in Dutch, French, English & German) by the Dutch typographer & Director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam” WIllam Sanburg. The poem is printed on pages 3-6, 9-12, 15-18, 23-26, 29-32 & 35-38 which are half the width of the 8 image leaves which carry lovely coloured reproductions of works and collages. VG+. One of the more scarce of the books in the series.
