72 x 54cm, b/w lithograph on heavy paper. Feldmann’s use of an appropriated newspaper image of a tragic accident – where a young child has just been knocked down by a car and the distraught mother is captured rushing to the scene carrying her other baby – objectifies the awfulness of the hurt girl’s distress and reminds the viewer of the emotional gap between the observer and the observed when one is presented with an image at a distance. One of an unsigned edition of 300. Fine estate.
