NYC: Experiments in Art & Technology, 1971

6.5 x 15.7cm, 2pp  – an “art cash” voucher printed on original dollar bill paper. Issued as a limited-edition multiple in 1971 for a casino-themed fundraiser for Experiments in Art and Technology. Andy Warhol (alongside Robert Whitman, Robert Rauschenberg, Tom Gormley, Red Grooms and Marisol,) all contributed bills of different values for the event. The money was printed by the American Banknote Company on the same paper used for U.S. currency at the time (minus the threading employed for anti-counterfeit measures). Originating from the estate of E.A.T.’s founder, this is a very scarce item in pristine condition.
