The image (15.5 x 9.5cm) is a portrait of the former Associate Professor of English at Stanford University who was sacked by the university and became a cause celebre for the anti-war movement. This wire photograph has a date stamp on the back: “Dec 23 1972”. Provenance: part of a group of press photographs decommission from the Seattle Times Library.
