PROVO 1965 – 2015 REENACTMENT VAN HISTORISCHE FOTO UIT 1967. 2015.

Two different but similarly themed photographic postcards both with a naked model standing in Spui Square where the original Provo Happenings took place. She is in front of the statue smoking and holding tulips in one image and draped in an Amsterdam city flag in another. Advert for Cult club bottom left but else a standard postcard. There were privately published on the occasion of a memorial dinner in the Five Flies restaurant which commemorated the role of the restaurant’s (now dead) owner in supporting the cultural and political uprising of the Provos in 1967. Part organised by the Fluxus gallerist Ruhe who was in his youth a supporter of Provo. Both cards fine.
