Essays by Dave Hickey & Klaus Kertess and 68 full sheet colour illustrations including high quality and colour matched reproductions of the 8 major abstract oil paintings created by Richter for the SF exhibition, namely the suite “858” which are presented at approx 60% of full size and produced on conservation paper in a pocket at the back of the book as individual sheets. Forty details from the paintings are also reproduced in large-format, accompanied by two essays, and poems commissioned especially for this volume by Richard Howard, Jorie Graham, Robert Hass, Ann Lauterbach, Dean Young, Brenda Hillman, James McManus, Michael Palmer, Connie Deanovich, David Breskin, Paul Hoover, Edward Hirsch, and W.S. Di Piero. This ornate publication also includes an audio CD of original music by Bill Frisell. Mint in publisher’s printed shipping box, as issued.
