20 x 14.5 cm. 144pp plus original wrappers. First Czech publication of this translation of Apollonia’s novel La femme assise (published posthumously in 1920 in France). This book is also notable for a three colour original cover illustration by Teige and O. Mrkuvicka. Some small tears to the extremities of the cover and at the spine which is frayed both top and bottom and flattened into the front but the colours on the cover are very fresh and clear and internally all is very good although there is a former owner’s signature on the half-title page. Priced to reflect this damage.
