Paris: Seghers, 1955
11 x 18cm, 36pp. Original wrappers. The exceptionally rare first ever book published by Heidsieck (his next was only to appear in 1962) at a time when he was a bank clerk and a correspondent for the Economist. The book is in traditional poetry form although Heidseick later abandoned this format once he found his true voice. This copy is inscribed by hand at the half-title with a 4 line dedication to another poet, and signed. Very good + example.
