The first distributed typewritten draft in the original photocopy, of the “Artist’s Contract”, a radical project initiated and underwritten by Seth Siegelaub and drafted by lawyer Robert Projansky whose purpose was to define & protect the moral and economic rights of artists by means of a practical legal tool. This first draft was mailed and given out to people in the art world in New York & Europe asking for their opinions and suggestions. It consists of a 1-page covering letter (signed); 3 pages of information about the agreement, 4 pages of the tentative agreement; & a 1-page questionnaire. Slightly cut off on last page but signed again on this page). Rare.
