A very early artist’s book  from Avery’s long-running ‘The Islanders’ project, produced on the occasion of the exhibition ‘The Islanders: An Introduction, Charles Avery’, which toured the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, after 2008. Colour and black and white illustrations. This is the first edition of this important publication. This is additionally augmented by Avery’s signature in blue ink over the map endpapers. One corner of the front boards bumped else VG+. Very scarce.
