Three pages – all high quality xeroxes – documentation for the title exhibition at the Heart Gallery run by Paul Robertson – one is a facsimile reply from Jacques Derrida to a letter from the artists regarding his 1978 philosophical work “Truth in Painting” and two sheets of the artists’ Annotations on the Truth in Painting. These items were displayed in the gallery space along with the paintings made by Maris where they created the “paint” for the canvasses by pulping a copy of “Truth in Painting”.
