2 volumes, uniformly 17.5 x 11.2cm, 142pp and 168pp. Stiff card original wrappers. First edition of this collection of theatrical works by Rousseau with a preface by Tzara in volume one. Photographs of Douanier Rousseau and the original manuscript cover act as frontispiece.

Paper is heavily browned and the numbers in the two volumes are not the same (707 and 709) the closeness of which suggests a dispatch mistake rather than a later reunion otherwise very good and volume two is mostly uncut.

Tzara’s preface works hard to try to place these works in some sort of historical significance. One of 2,000 numbered copies issued.
