Paris: Tresset, 2017
32 x 24cm, brown-red ink on white card. An original and unique drawing made by Tresset’s artificial intelligence programme which was lined to robotic drawing machines and a camera which examined a still life of a raven, a skull and a stuffed fox (to reference Marcel Broodthaers’ Corbeau et Renaud). The AI here used visual identification software to guide the drawing robots to make a number of such sketches -each being different. The works were then sold to visitors to the exhibition.
This example displays a drawing of the skull and is “signed” bottom left by the robot. On the back the work is dated 24/06/2018. VG+.
