Standard 12 inch 33rpm LP – the second volume of this electronic performance recorded in a L.A. art gallery: essentially a real-time sound collage of radio and tv samples, pre-recorded found sounds, and live recordings from microphones placed around and outside of the gallery (including audience conversations, sounds from the bar, and street sounds near the entrance to the building which resulted in a live, chance-derived noise music which Cage created/discovered as a parallel to the newly emerging musique concrete tape music of Pierre Schaeffer, Pierre Henry, Luc Ferrari, Bernard Parmegiani, and Vladimir Ussachevsky. The beginning of the record includes a spoken introduction (“In the grooves of this record is the sound of John Cage…”) which details the techniques used in the performance. VG record in VG pictorial sleeve. Scarce.
