Munich: Aktionsraum, 1970
26 x 20cm, 32pp plus card covers. Xerox pages both internally and the outer coverArtist’s book with Brouwn’s guess-timates of the abstract distances from various unnamed places to Tatvan (a village in Turkey where the railway suddenly ends). Brouwn had travelled there and taken various photographs of the direction in which the railway would have continued its journey had any extension ever been built. He then got back on the train and returned home. Rare. Vg.
This is a version issued by Brouwn (this example obtained from his friend Harry Ruhe) that when one looks closely is a xerox. It is tempting to regard this as a second edition but Ruhe claims it was issued at the same time as the offset lithographic version. Priced thus.
