Kranenburg: Haus Van Der Grinten, 1963 83.8 x 63cm, black on white offset lithograph. This was Beuys' second ever exhibition which was organised (like his first) at the house of his patrons Franz Joseph and Hans van der Grinten. The poster showing two lithographic images by beuys was designed by Franz Joseph and is the first Beuys publicaiton to mention the word "Fluxus". Slight edge damage on teh left of the white border else VG+. An exceptionally rare item. Orestel beuys Plakate Nr. 2.

The very rare plakate for the early Fluxus 24 hour happening including many of the foremost artists working in Germany at that time. Notable for the early involvement of Beuys and Paik. This copy is a mailed (with clearly printed and dated frank) and folded copy with tipped on address label. There are a few contemporary pencil annotations on the back of the poster in French which do not affect the poster at all. One 3cm closed tear on the left hard side of the poster else VG. One of a number of similar designed posters for a travelling show of the title drawings - the same image was used for both the exhibition and the "discussion" - a public meeting with Beuys attending to discuss art and politics. There were two "discussions" in Belfast each with a different poster with minor text changes - this is the first which was misprinted originally - and the name "JOSEPH BEUYS" has been tipped on over the original text to correct it. VG+ condition. Ver scarce. Prestel Beuys posters only lists one of the two posters at nr 61 and NOT this one.
