The Fluxus affiliated artist Takao Saito was a key early participant in the movement and helped George Maciunas to create many of the early object multiples and performances.
She was very interested in games and, in particular, chess and created many works based on the checkerboard and chess pieces but also held performances of Fluxus games which often had no winner or clear rules.
Saito was also always veery interested in mail art and here we offer an archive of just over 50 small scale works mostly designed to be sent by mail along with unusual pieces of ephemera (many of which display written interventions by the artist). Some early Fluxus posters and announcements are also included as are some unique works and object multiples.
