Commercial TDK audio cassette tape in original jewel plastic case content of music recorded by the Fluxus artist Henning Christiansenat Rannoch Moor. The second of the works "180 HAMMERSTROKES AGAINST WAR MACHINES" consisted of the artist raining sledgehammer blows on a piece of iron while counting from 1 to 180, the first however "IO AM EN VOGEL" translates to I am a bird but the full title is “Il Giardino della Montagna Gialla”, Opus 171. <BR>

This may well be an unique recording of a performance by Henning Christiansen in Scotland. The paper insert with the details of the event is hand-written by Christiansen and is signed with his initials alongside the date. Additional initials are UR and we believe this to be Ursula Reuter Christiansen, Henning's wife and sometime musical partner. This in any even is a very rare item of sound/musical art indeed. VG++.

Little Sparta: Wild Hawthorn Press, n.d. (1999?)
8 x 20.5cm, 4pp outer folded with a black on deep blue drawing of the famous heavy cruiser. Internally there is a 8 x 20.5cm, 4p printed sheet with a poem:

PRINZ EUGEN*
Her nouns were round, her verbs were straight and swift

The poem sees the battleship as a sentence - the actions of this war machine are immediate and once presumes deadly, it's shape and form more aesthetic.
One of Finlay's poems in a folder although the format could be seen as a card.
7.3 x 8.2cm, 4pp artist's card with two texts -

on the left "as in rat-a-tat" and on the right "Order is repetition".

The card is "dedicated" to Yves Hayat who had been a friend to the artist but attacked him after the Catherine Millet accused Finlay of being fascistic because he included a swastika in one of his works. The rat-a-tat clearly references shooting from a machine gun - and (metaphorically) Hayat is being murdered by words. VG+.

Edinburgh: Hanging Around, 1977

30 x 21cm, 10pp, self cover. Stapled. Xerox - black on white paper cover, Articles on Punk in London (from a Scottish perspective), banning punk in Glasgow, The Stranglers, The Pinks and single reviews etc. Another hard to find regional zine with a horribly reproduced cover - clearly punks did not know how to adjust the photocopier machines to reproduce their artwork in dark tones. Fine.
