12 x 9cm, two part plastic box (with plastic hinge) content of a long knotted piece of thick string made up of other strings tied so that there is no end and chaotically tangled.

This is attributed to "Jack Coke's Farmer's Co-Op" but this was a pseudonym for Paul Sharits and a group of farming students he taught at St. Cloud State College in the mid 60s.

Sharits sent a number of proposals to George Maciunas for consideration for Fluxboxes and apparently later forgot about them, one of those proposals was "Find the End" from 1967. Maciunas designed the cover label and put the box into production (the edition size is unknown). Sharits later said he thought the idea was that of the students but his involvement is obvious.

Later Barbara Moore of Bound and Unbound was left a number of the original boxes from Maciunas' estate and she recreated many of the original Fluxboxes using that vintage material and replacing the missing elements with parts usually sourced from the same original manufacturer. This is one of the later Fluxboxes which is stamped "Reflux" on the bottom right front cover - again the limitation is unknown.

Very good condition. Reflux editions are now almost as difficult to find as the original boxes and this is one of the less known and encountered examples.

4 x 6.2cm. 41pp approx.,stapled. Shiomi took stills from the title film by Ono and created a flip-book of disappearing smiles as per Maciunas in c. 1968. This was one of a small continuation edition of only 79 copies created by Shiomi from vintage items in
2002. Fine.

9.5 x 12cm, transparent plastic box from orginal Fluxus source, content of six vintage, hole-punched printed cards. Vintage Maciunas-designed label. Fine.

9.3 x 12 x 1.6 cm, transparent plastic box and an opaque white bottom from the original Fluxus source. Contains a lapel button printed with "Garnisht Kigele" which is apparently Yiddish slang for "nothing pudding". With vintage Maciunas-designed label.

9.3 x 12 x 1.6 cm, opaque white plastic box from original Fluxus source, containing a vintage attached card which tells the opener to "Shut Quick". Vintage Maciunas-designed label with detailed instructions on how to use the box. Sadly one hing on the back of the box has become broken (the boxes Maciunas sourced were always cheap and fragile). Priced thus.

The now uncommon reissue by Barbara Moore of this Fluxus box using vintage materials she had retained from Maciunas. The explosive caps are designed to be struck sequentially toward the desired end. Instruction card from original Fluxus source. All elements fine in like box stamped Reflux.
