New York: Gallery Gertrude Stein (sic), n.d. (1963)
28 x 21.5cm, 1pp political and art tract written by Lurie with the title hand-stencilled over the printed words. The leaflet was part of a street intervention where these No-posters” were overprinted on unused printer’s “cleaning sheets” ie sheets of paper used to clean the machines usually taken from overrun print jobs and displaying several printings underneath with the word NO over them- hence creating a coincidental artwork “with no hand-work whatsoever in their execution. Whatever ‘compensation’ has resulted is of purely accidental character.” This example is folded horizontally, some dog-ears and two closed tears along with fold and one staple – but a very rare document from the NO! Art Group.
