Los Angeles, s.p. (Hansen), n.d.
28 x 21.5cm, 2pp, stolen letterhead stationery from the Office of the Mayor Los Angeles upon which Al Hansen has written in a very clear script a letter to a female friend. The text is about several artist’s book projects he wishes her to do and collaborate with him and a description of his current work schedule (non art) and his living arrangements which were at this time chaotic as he tried to live rough in office buildings and in lobbies. The letter describes how he tries random doors to find ones left open to allow him access to washing and toilet facilities. A fascinating (if somewhat sad) document of Hansen’s later vagabond life. Folded for mailing.
