9.4 x 15.3cm (closed size as issued) – a commercial napkin issued by the East-German State Railways which Beuys hand-stamped with a FIU blue stamp and signed. Related to the Economic Value items this was a simple and functional item and importantly relatively unbranded. This is strangely not in the Beuys Catalogue Raisonne for editions although it is sometimes referred to as “DDR-Handtuch Nr. 1 weiß” asa there was also a grey version issued. Very slight light paper crease on the left but overall VG+. The number issued of this edition is not known. Scarce.
