27 x 21.3cm, b/w ferrotyped original gelatin silver print displaying a delegate to George Wallace’s AIP conference where he attempted to be a third party candidate for the US presidency. The activist is holding up a home-made “ news for Wallace” poster. Ironically the American Independent Party had elements of anti-semitism up front and one West Coast pamphlet noted ““While it is a fact that some Jewish people work for George Wallace, it is absolutely false that they tell him what to do,” the handbill said. “We need every worker available. We would even welcome Negroes to the effort (but that does not mean they would make policy!!!).”
