The handout distributed by Vostell for his famous “Nie wieder / never / jamais” performance during the “Festival of New Art on July 20, 1964” in the Audimax of the TH Aachen. Vostell donned a gas mask on which a blue light bulb was attached, he then poured yellow paint powder onto the stage. Eight young men faced the wall – the leaflet indicated the audience’s role in the performance. This is a VG+ example of a rare and important document from one of art’s most famous events.
