SUR ANDRE BRETON. 1948. WITH A LENGTHY DEDICATION FROM ISOU. ONE OF 60 NUMBERED COPIES.

£995.00

Paris: (self-published) Editions Lettristes, 1948
16 x 12.3cm, 222 pp. Printed wrappers. First edition. One of only 60 copies – the entire edition – of this early work (published within a year of his first book) by the Roumanian-born founder of the Lettrist group. This example inscribed by Isou to his friend madame Guislaine Aime and dated 17 Juin 48. The book is a quite virulent critique of the Surrealist standard bearer’s activities. A near fine example of (arguably) Isou’s rarest book of the immediate post-war decade and certainly a low limitation.
