THIS WAS SENT BY MICAH LEXIER ON A ……. 2022. UNIQUE MAIL ART IN A SERIES.

Toronto: s.p. (Lexier), 2022

28 x 32 x 8cm, commercial white cardboard posting box with applied rubber stamp impression in red with the text: “This was sent by Micah Lexier on a _____ from 88 Seaforth Ave, Toronto PN Canada M6K 1NS and was received on a _____”  the two dates have been filled in by Lexier (Friday)_ and Paul Robertson who received the work (Tuesday).

Inside the box are a series of sealed envelopes – each has a similar text (however printed offset) : “This envelope was sent by Micah Lexier on a _____ from 88 Seaforth Ave, Toronto PN Canada M6K 1NS and was received on a _____” – the largest 22.5 x 30.5cm, envelope in red and there is a handwritten “PR” on the middle of the envelope by Lexier. This first largest envelope has been opened.

The next envelope is smaller (15 x 24cm approx) and has the same text in green and again “PR” written by Lexier in the middle of a hand drawn square. This envelope has not been opened.

In side this unopened envelope appears to be another envelope with further contents inside it (another even smaller envelope?) – but because the green envelope has not been opened the exact contents can only be guessed at.
