WERKENDE WIJVENPLAN. GELIJK LOON VOOR GELIJKE ARBEID. 1973. DOLLE MINA’S PLAN FOR EQUAL PAY.

£45.00

Den Haag: Dolle Mina, 1973

21 x 15cm, 4pp brochure outlining the organisation’s working women plan – equal pay for equal labour. In March 1973, the men and women of the Optilon zipper factory in Winschoten quit their jobs, partly in protest against the unequal pay for work done by men and women. The strike quickly received national attention.

In May 1973 Dolle Mina launched the ‘Werkende Wijvenplan’, aimed at equal pay for equal work, equal opportunities in education and occupation, individualization of taxes, free childcare and communal housing facilities. This leaflet outlines the basic principles of that plan. Internally mimeographed. Very slight handling creases but overall VG+.
