13.7 x 10.3cm, 2pp three colour lithographic postcard (to publicise the artist’s book) recto after a design by Toyen (from the book of the same name). A vintage card from the surrealist’s pre-war activities ( c.1935). A mailed copy with an ink handwritten note verso (by an anonymous hand). DP was a publishing house where Toyen’s compatriots Sutnar and Sudek were in charge of design and often commissioned her to illustrate or design books. Very good. Scarce.
